Global Governance Fellowships

https://www.chathamhouse.org/academy/fellowships

In this section

In 2019/20, the Academy is offering residential fellowships under three overarching themes:

  • Global governance fellowships. These 10-month in-residence fellowships are generously supported by the Asfari Foundation, Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Richard and Susan Hayden, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, Stephen A. Schwarzman Education Foundation and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
  • Dame DeAnne Julius Senior Academy Fellowship in International Economics. These 2-month fellowships are supported by donations made by Chatham House members when Dame DeAnne Julius stepped down as Chairman of Chatham House.
  • Robert Bosch Stiftung Academy Fellowship (Central & Eastern Europe and Africa) in transition experiences and developments in relations between Central and Eastern Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. This 10-month fellowship is generously supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

The Academy is seeking candidates who would like to contribute to our work on the promise and challenge of global governance in the 21st century. Our academy fellows will spend up to 10 months at Chatham House immersing in our Leadership Programme (where applicable) and contributing to high level research, benefiting from close working relationships with our research teams.

International and regional institutions and norms are being challenged on multiple fronts – for failing to be inclusive, for contributing to inequality and cultural dislocation, for failing to recognise the status of emerging powers, and for providing an inadequate response to transnational security, health, and environmental threats.

To apply, we ask that you propose a research project. Find out more about this(opens in new window).

Applicant profile

We seek individuals who are dynamic, creative, driven and excited to contribute to our research teams.  Across Chatham House, our research is designed to analyse key global and national challenges and develop innovative and effective policy solutions.

Eligibility

Academy fellowships are restricted with respect to citizenship. Please check the citizenship requirements before choosing which fellowship to apply to.  Dual nationals are eligible for any country for which they hold a passport.
